Genre

I mainly paint in oils and pastels in a traditional,
realist style covering land and sea scapes, figure
and portraiture but also with a leaning to surrealism
and fantasy from time to time.

Skills

I started a Diploma of Visual Arts at the Queensland
College of Art on a part time basis but had to
reluctantly defer after 18 months. I attained the
Certificate in Instructional Skills through T.A.F.E
while conducting Art classes in oils, pastels and pen
and ink in the Adult Education sector. I also was a
lecturer/tutor in illustration mainly and some graphic
design at both the Advertising Academy and The Institute
for Design. I also taught oils, acrylics, pastels,
drawing and water colour at the Ascot Art Studio.
These classes I now teach from my home.

Qualifications

I am mainly self taught but I have picked up skills and
knowledge through attendance at seminars and workshops
conducted by various local artists.
