Modus Operandi

Stookie (Karl Keelaghan) is an artist/illustrator based 
in Brisbane Australia. His work is a blend of collage, 
detailed drawing and psychedelic painting techniques. 
Focusing on the weird and wonderful, he has built up a 
portfolio of varied work blending fine art and illustration.


Elements of his upbringing in Sri Lanka and its
influence are shown through his use of colour and
shape throughout each piece. After graduating in BA
Hons Illustration in the UK, he has created various
works for childrens books, venues, bands, DJ's etc as
well as continued work on a graphic novel. With a firm
belief in 'hands on' art, Stookie's work is organic
and devoid of computer based technology.
